1:1 Sessions for Pre-Teens and Teens

Being a young person in this world can be an incredibly strange, awkward, lonely experience. With school, homework, family, friends, and the weight of the world only increasing, life can be incredibly daunting and overwhelming.

In addition to CBT, ACT, and traditional talk therapy, I am trained in Expressive Arts Therapy and Internal Family Systems/parts work, voicework, somatics, and mindfulness and will pull from these approaches based on the needs and interests of the individual. My practice is trauma informed. I love to support young people with:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety and perfectionism

  • Burnout and stress

  • Academic stress

  • Peer relationships

  • Family issues

  • Life transitions

  • Trauma

  • Identity exploration (gender and sexuality)

  • Neurodivergence (ADHD and autism)

  • Creative and gifted youth

Awkward silences are few and far between. My style is warm, connective, and playful. And with many games and art supplies at our disposal, we’ll have several supports to get conversation going and make the work as easeful and engaging as possible.

Working with teens will include parent check-ins every 4-6 weeks, or as-needed. I see the parent-therapist relationship as making up the core “care team” for the client. During these parent check-ins, we will discuss how treatment is going, and I will also provide reflections and coaching to support your role as a parent.
